George Benson was awarded The Impact Award, sponsored by MediaCom, at this years’ Jazz FM Awards for his 60+ year career of spreading the word of jazz to a greater population.
Sadly, he was unable to join us for the swanky event at Shoreditch Town Hall, but instead sent a message inviting us to present the award on stage at his Royal Albert Hall gig on Tuesday 26th June. Thing is, he’s also given us five pairs of tickets for you to join us, and also meet and greet Mr B after the event!
George is on tour across the UK starting in Bournemouth on Sunday 17th June, taking in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Gateshead (sold out), then two nights in London, finishing at Westcliff-on-Sea Southend Pavilion on Friday 29th June.
