ONE OF THE best things about coffee is that, because it's so popular all over the world, many countries have developed their own distinctive brewing styles – and, even better, London's food and drink scene boasts a crop of cafés demonstrating the different styles of coffee from across the globe.
One of these is Shot Espresso, which was set up by three friends wanting to use their Antipodean, Italian and English heritage to make some of the best coffee the city has to offer. It was initially set up in Fulham, but quickly went on to open two more south west London sites, one opposite its original home in bustling Jerdan Place and the other a stone's throw away in Parsons Green.
Shot Espresso's latest and largest site is set to launch this April in the heart of Victoria's brand new development, Verde SW1. Offering artisanal Allpress coffee, Antipodean-style breakfasts, and grab-and-go Italian lunches, the vast 87-cover café will feature a coffee bar, snug seating and outdoor area to dine al fresco.

But Shot Espresso is much more than just a café: it's also a deli and aperitif bar, serving light bites, deli treats, wine and cocktails. Pop in for a coffee, and you could find yourself nibbling on toasted sourdough slathered with Australian favourite Vegemite or New Zealand's beloved Pics peanut butter.
Come evening – at aperitivo hour – you can quench your thirst with a classic Italian spritz and scoff Venetian-style cicchetti (moreish little snacks), like bruschetta, cured meats and aged parmesan.
Whether you're after coffee or cocktails, you're in safe hands with Shot Espresso – and if all the above sounds good to you, enter this competition and you could win free coffee for six months, up to the value of £50, to be redeemed at any of Shot's three sites: Fulham, Parsons Green or Victoria.
