Now half term is on the horizon either this week or next you are probably breathing a sigh of relief that you can relax and have some quality time with the family! This year we are planning on having a movie session rather than going trick a treating as usual. I am looking forward to introducing the boys to one of my all-time favourites The Addams Family which is part of this family film bundle.
I thought movies would be a welcome break from all the sugar trick a treating brings! The boys end up with so many sweets I worry about their poor teeth. Plus, I feel more exhausted this year now eldest is at secondary school with earlier starts and lots of homework! Getting tucked in with a blanket for a few films is the perfect way to top up our depleted energy levels.

The Addams Family
This film is a classic! When Fester the long-lost uncle of the eccentric but very wealthy Addams family turns up after being missing in the Bermuda Triangle for twenty-five years the family are at first delighted! But they begin to wonder if he is who he claims to be. Will they discover he is an imposter before he finds the hidden vault for his loan shark “mum” and makes off with the family’s riches?Casper Meets Wendy
This spinoff of the original Casper film follows the story of Wendy a good witch who is being hunted down by an evil warlock. She becomes friends with Casper after hiding out at the same hotel he is vacationing at with his uncles. The pair seem natural allies after both being bossed around by their families. Witches and ghosts don’t normally get on, so the family try their best to end the friendship. But they all need to work together before the warlock closes in on poor Wendy!
The Book of Life
This animated comedy focuses on the Mexican celebration of the day of the dead. The fantasy adventure is a visual treat! It follows the journey of Manolo and his friend Joaquin, who both want to marry the same girl Maria. But with bigger stakes than they realise, what path will Manolo follow.
The Secret of NIMH
This is the story of timid mouse Mrs. Brisby and her quest to keep her family safe when the field they live in is due to be ploughed. But with bad timing her son falls ill with pneumonia and becomes too poorly to leave. She is advised to seek help from the rats who are more intelligent after scientific experiments and could come up with a solution.
