To celebrate the launch of the upcoming film The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society, the Telegraph – in partnership with Visit Guernsey – is giving away a fantastic two-night break in Guernsey.
Staying in a four- or five-star hotel on the island that inspired the film, the lucky winner and a companion will be able to enjoy a two-night stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis, including return flights.
Starring Lily James, Michiel Huisman and Matthew Goode, The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society shows how Guernsey resisted the Nazi Occupation during the Second World War. Based on the book of the same name, the film tells the story of writer Juliet Ashton and her relationship with an eccentric group of people who, having suffered the experiences of Occupation, find solace in books, reading and the simple pleasure of each other’s company.
