This international Festival, which takes place each July, has animated local beaches since 2009, offering a freely accessible programme of live concerts featuring bands and musicians from all over the world.
Working in co-operation with the city of New Orleans the Spiagge Soul Festival’s main characteristic is the fusion of beach life with soul, blues and funk music. Performances take place directly on the beach so audiences can enjoy gigs with their feet in the sand. This year the Spiagge Soul Festival takes place from 16th to 31st July and is staged and promoted by the “Blues Eye Association” in association with some of Ravenna’s best beach clubs like the "Marlin Beach & Restaurant".
This year’s Festival takes further inspiration from the city of New Orleans with great names of blues, soul and funk taking part. For the three days between the 27th and 29th of July, there will be "a festival within a festival" taking place at the Marlin Beach & Restaurant, called "The summer of Love” which will see performances from The Commitments from Ireland, Tony Lynn Washington featuring Sax Gordon, and Shakura S’Aida all from the US. Meanwhile, every day from the 25th to 29th of July, the Soul Brass Band, one of New Orlean’s most famous brass bands, will perform a "New Orleans Jazz Lunch” by parading and performing on the beach in true Louisiana style.

The Spiagge Soul Festival takes place on the beaches around Terme Beach Resort within a radius of 2km. Every concert can be reached within a 20 minute by walk or 10 mins by bike. Ravenna, a beautiful and lively historic town renowned for its gold Byzantine mosaics and impressive UNESCO World Heritage Sites, has plenty of great restaurants and bars to explore, as well as late night shopping.
