It’s beautiful to hold. Hardback with fantastic thick pages, the feel of a quality product. It has one of those great bookmarks, so you won’t lose your place and an elastic band to keep it closed. There is the option of having a pdf version as well, so you can fill in on your laptop, if that’s the better option for you.
WHAT’S THE MORNING SIDEKICK JOURNAL ALL ABOUT?Their mission is to help us better ourselves. They will help by being a book-sized trainer to build this life-altering habit into our day-to-day life (their words!)
This journal is jam-packed with tips and strategies that have been discovered by people who have mastered their mornings. Full of actionable tips and motivating content as well.
Each day for 66 days there is new information, motivation tips, and accountability that you need to stay on track to better yourself.
I did wonder why it’s for 66 days, but apparently on average it takes 66 days to form a habit! Is this why I have to eat a couple of squares of chocolate each day? Did I once eat a couple of squares of chocolate every day for 66 days so now I have a habit? or is that called an addiction? Haha!
The Morning Sidekick Journal describes to us the phases of building a new habit:
Days 1-7 – Hell Week
Days 8-21 – Staying Consistent
Days 21-26 – Hardwiring – Retaining Interest in your Personal Development
Days 66 + – Habit Mastery
I agree it’s going to be hard to start, but I want to better myself and so a bit of elbow grease and an open mind is how I’m going to start.
The Morning Sidekick Journal has many different types of content to help you. These are:
Pro Tips
Daily Challenges
Clips & Podcasts
Success Stories
Affirmations
The journal is brilliantly designed. It has many little illustrations, great tick boxes and the tasks are broken down into manageable bite size chunks. It encourages you to be more productive with your mornings.
MY EXPERIENCES SO FAR…
I’m now a week in to using my journal so coming out of hell week! Just a few minutes a day in the mornings and before bed to pop in and do the tasks is all it takes. I’m using the journal to help me organise/prioritise my blog around work and family life to become a better blogger is my aim. To be more productive in the mornings and make the most out of my day.
If I’m being honest I don’t know if I will keep up with the journal for 66 days, but will definitely keep on reading the useful tips provided daily.
