The prize-winner and a guest will spend two nights in one of the individually designed rooms, which are filled with romantic curtains in thick fabrics, dark wood panelling and Italianate furniture. You will enjoy breakfast each morning in the hotel’s courtyard, choosing from local cheeses and brioche à la praline, organic eggs cooked to order and fresh fruit juices.
Also included in the prize is one three-course supper for two at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant Les Loges, set in a marbled Florentine-style courtyard with a sky-high glass canopy. Chef Anthony Bonnet serves up French fine dining with dishes such as foie gras, beef smoked with juniper and crevettes served with leeks, watercress and sprouts.
The prize-winner and a guest will also receive two treatments in the hotel’s spa. Choose from a selection which includes facials, massages, body scrubs and more.
You’ll be staying in the centre of Lyon, France’s second city, which is known as the birthplace of French cuisine and is packed with Roman ruins, cool boutiques and cultural sites.
