The kind folks at DFS recently gifted us a new sofa and coffee table, after our last sofa got rather wrecked (warning, never buy a cream sofa with a young family-what was I thinking?) -Oh and I then tore the 3 seater arm chair we had in the corner of the lounge, when I tried to remove the cover to wash it at Christmas. To say I’ve been unlucky when it came to the lounge’s home furnishings is an understatement.
Well my luck has changed.
Those nightmares are now but a distant memory as we have this most stunning 4 seater sofa in Zinc (in grey combination with dark wood legs) from DFS taking pride of place in the living room. Not only is it incredibly well made and chic but it’s also totally transformed the space too.

We love it so much that when we move back down South in the summer, we’re going to buy another one to match it.
A French Connection fashion-lover, I literally had no idea the company also did a sofa range, but it’s obvious that their eye for detail, immaculate, longlasting products and sharp lines work in furnishings as much as they do in clothes.
This is a bestseller for DFS and it’s obvious why.
In a range of no less than 10 colours to match any home decor style, I simply adore this classic zinc grey colour which comes with matching uber-cool cushions, and I think pairing it with a teal one when we move, would make for one quirky combo.
A statement sofa, eyes are now instantly drawn to this charcoal beauty and it’s truly completed our living room after we felt a little lost home decor wise in there, once the cream sofa had gone.
Again, our previous coffee table became marked thanks to the little ones so the boys are now under strict instructions not to paint or eat on this stylish Edge coffee table also gifted to us by DFS.
I’m head over heels with both (as are the boys), and fittingly, with a sofa from French Connection, as Carrie Bradshaw once said, ‘I’ve been cheating on fashion with furniture’- and I’m loving it!
