Official Rules for the Hotels.com “Ferdinand” DVD/Blu-Ray/HD Release Sweepstakes
No Purchase Necessary. A Purchase Will Not Increase Your Chances of Winning.
1. Eligibility: The Hotels.com “Ferdinand” DVD/Blu-Ray/HD Release Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the Brazil, Canada (excluding Quebec), Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Employees of Hotels.com, L.P. (“Sponsor”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of those employees, are not eligible to enter.
2. Agreement to Official Rules: By entering the Sweepstakes, you indicate your full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions regarding the Sweepstakes, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements in these Official Rules.
3. Entry Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00am CT on March 15, 2018, and ends at 11:59pm CT on April 15, 2018 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.
4. How to Enter: To enter the Sweepstakes, during the Entry Period, go to www.hotels.com/page/ferdinand and follow the instructions to enter. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone who attempts to obtain more than one (1) entry, by any means. You may be required to agree to receive marketing emails from Sponsor or its affiliates in order to enter. You may unsubscribe at any time.
5. Drawing: After the Entry Period, Sponsor will select one (1) potential winner in a random drawing of all entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received.
6. Notification and Requirements of Potential Winner: Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via email within ten (10) calendar days of the drawing. Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release. In order to win the prize, a potential winner who is a resident of Canada must correctly answer (unaided) a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. If a potential winner fails to respond to the notification, to sign and return the required documents, or to correctly answer the skill-testing question within three (3) days, he/she will forfeit the prize, and Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in a random drawing of all remaining entries received. Only three (3) alternate potential winners will be contacted.
7. Prize: One (1) winner will receive a trip for the winner and one (1) guest to Madrid, Spain. The trip consists of:
a. Roundtrip, coach-class air transportation from a major international airport in the capital city of the winner’s country of residence, or from a major international airport nearest to the winner’s residence if the winner is from the United States, to Madrid, Spain. The winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary.
b. Four (4) days and three (3) nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy) in a luxury hotel (to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) in Madrid, Spain. The stay must include one (1) Saturday night. The winner will be required to provide a debit or credit card upon hotel check-in for incidentals.
c. A VIP City Sightseeing Card, which includes admission to museums and other attractions, for the winner and guest for twenty-four (24) hours.
The approximate retail value of the prize is $4,995 USD. The actual value may vary based on various factors, including the date of booking and point of departure. Any difference between the stated value and actual value will not be awarded. The prize must be redeemed within one (1) year after the winner is notified that he/she has won, and is subject to availability and blackout dates (including Christmas, New Year’s, and public holidays in Spain or the winner’s country (and/or city/state, as applicable) of residence). The guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence, unless the child or legal ward of the winner. The guest may be required to sign a liability/publicity release. Either the winner or the guest must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. The winner and guest are responsible for obtaining any required travel documentation prior to departure. Once booked, travel arrangements may not be changed.
The winner is responsible for paying any applicable income taxes and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above, including transportation to/from the airport and meals. Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. A prize may not be transferred and must be accepted as awarded. A winner may not request cash or a substitute prize; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize (or a component thereof) is not available for any reason, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
8. General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the operation of the Sweepstakes, violates these Official Rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any person who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of an entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
9. Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment LLC, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (f) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (g) injury or damage to persons or property. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
10. Privacy and Publicity: Any information you submit as part of the Sweepstakes will be used for purposes of this Sweepstakes and treated in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes an entrant’s consent to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, and city/state of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.
11. Disputes: You agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Texas, United States. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Texas.
12. Results: For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Attn: Abby McGowen, Hotels.com, L.P., 5400 LBJ Freeway, Suite 500, Dallas, TX 75240. Requests must be received within four (4) weeks of the end of the Entry Period.

London Competition Terms and Conditions
By completing the entry form and entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these "Terms and Conditions"). In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotion materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
1. The promoter and ultimate provider of this Prize Draw is Hotels.com L.P. of 5400 LBJ Freeway, Suite 500, Dallas, Texas 75240 ("Hotels.com").
2. Participants must be at least 18 years old and legally resident within United Kingdom. Employees and agents of Hotels.com or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies and their immediate families and members of their households, and anyone otherwise connected with operation or fulfilment of the Prize Draw are not eligible to take part. Hotels.com reserves the right to require participants to prove that they are eligible to enter the Prize Draw. If the winner is found to be ineligible, Hotels.com reserves the right to award the prize to another participant and to require the return of any prize already awarded.
3. The Prize Draw commences at 12.01am UK time on 25 April 2018 and all entries must be received by 11.59pm UK time on the closing date of 25 May 2018.
4. Entry to the Prize Draw is free; no purchase necessary.
5. The Prize Draw will be promoted on Hotels.com at the following URL address: https://uk.hotels.com/page/london-competition/ for UK participants (the "Website"). To enter the Prize Draw you must enter your first name, last name and email address onto the relevant section of the Prize Draw page on the Website. By submitting your entry, you are agreeing to subscribe to receive Hotels.com email newsletters. Please note that you may unsubscribe from these emails at any time. Entries submitted by any other means will not be accepted: only those submitted via the official method of entry. Use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Prize Draw is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected. Participants may make a maximum of one entry into the Prize Draw. Any entries in addition to this may be disqualified.
6. The prize to be won is a hotel stay for the winner and up to one further adult (the "guest") in The May Fair Hotel. There is one prize available. The value of the prize is approximately US $800. Both the winner and guest must be at least 18 years old on the date of check in. The prize comprises 2 nights’ hotel accommodation at the five-star hotel, The May Fair Hotel in a studio suite including breakfast for 2 and a late checkout. The prize excludes ground transfers within the UK.
Hotels.com will manage the prize for the winners, will require the winner and guest to provide their passport details (either transcribed into an email, or as scans of their passports), and to provide written acceptance of the prize and of their travel arrangements. A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation.
The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Prize is subject to availability and third party terms and conditions in relation to the hotel and flight may apply. The trip must be taken by the 29th of December 2018 and the dates are subject to availability excluding May 19th till the 23rd, July 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th, September 18th and 19th and December 25th. All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time. Once booked, the prize booking cannot be altered or amended. The prize excludes ground transfers, meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas and personal expenses and anything not expressly included in the prize description. To the extent permissible by your local laws, all taxes (including without limitation national and local taxes) in connection with any prize and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. By participating in the Prize Draw, participants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize.
7. The winner of the Prize Draw will be the first name chosen at random on 10 June 2018 from all complete, eligible, properly submitted entries received from the UK before the end of the applicable closing date. There will
only be one winner of the prize. The draw will be made by computer using Excel random draw function (RANDBETWEEN) under the control of Julia Bou Dargham, Marketing Manager at Hotels.com.
8. The winner will be notified no later than 30 June 2018 via the email address provided on entry. The winner of the prize may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize. Hotels.com will notify and contact the winner of the prize via email to the address provided by participants to Hotels.com upon entry and Hotels.com will arrange the booking of the prize on the winner's behalf, in line with their requests and requirements. All paperwork and travel documents, including hotel reservations, will be sent via email. If the email to the winner is returned as undeliverable, Hotels.com reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award the prize to another participant. If the winner has not claimed their prize by the date specified in the notification of winning, Hotels.com reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award the prize to another participant.
9. In the event that, for force majeure reasons or reasons beyond Hotels.com’s reasonable control and not related to the winner, Hotels.com is unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, that party reserves the right to award a prize of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize. In the event of a printing or other error resulting in there being more winners than prizes for the Prize Draw, Hotels.com reserves the right at any time to allocate the available prize through a further draw or to divide the prize or the value of the prize between the winners of the Prize Draw.
10. The provision of the prize does not imply endorsement by Hotels.com or of any other third parties concerned in any way with the Prize Draw or the prize.
11. Although the Prize Draw may be featured on Facebook, the Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and you agree that Facebook is not liable in any way. You are providing information to Hotels.com and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes referred to in clause 13 below.
12. Hotels.com will collect and process participants' personal information and it may be shared with Hotels.com's agents and affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area, which may not provide the same level of protection to personal data as countries inside the European Economic Area, to the extent necessary in order to conduct the Prize Draw including for the prize to be delivered to the winner. If participants do not provide any of
the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Prize Draw, they may not take part in the Prize Draw. Participants' names and other personal details from their entry to the Prize Draw will be collected and stored by Hotels.com and its affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area) and held in
accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time (see http://uk.hotels.com/customer_care/privacy.html (for the UK).
Any participant has the right to access to his/her personal data and to ask for their update or correction by mere request at [email protected]. Any participant can also ask for their deletion for legitimate reasons. Any participant can also oppose to the processing of its data for marketing purposes.
13. Hotels.com reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of Hotels.com that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Prize Draw. Neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by Hotels.com to provide the prize or otherwise that may cause the Prize Draw to be disrupted or corrupted, or that may lead to loss or damage of the prize in transit to the winner.
14. Save where it has been negligent, Hotels.com will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participants' entry into the Prize Draw or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Prize Draw. Hotels.com will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, defaced, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unreadable entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt by Hotels.com of any entries. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit Hotels.com's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
15. Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Prize Draw in a manner, which is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Hotels.com and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Prize Draw at Hotels.com's sole discretion. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the Prize Draw, Hotels.com may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the Prize Draw as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
16. All Hotels.com’s decisions in relation to the Prize Draw are final and Hotels.com will not enter into any correspondence with participants.
17. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of your country of residence (UK) and the courts of your country of residence (UK) shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions.
